"We took a charge there and they called it a block and it seemed they gave every drive blocks and didn't call any charges this game. We play on and we move forward and compete harder tomorrow."Saturday the Orediggers play host to Lewis-Clark State at 7:30 p.m.The Tech men came out for a third-straight game establishing a presence and a number of small leads in the first half.Tech went up 21-18 at the 6:08 mark of the first half on a long-range, Adam Greger, two before Northern got a little wind in their sails to take a 24-21 edge.Greger stayed hot as he answered Northern with two mid-range buckets to put Tech up 25-24 with about three minutes before halftime.Northern would push ahead 30-28 at the intermission.Greger had 13 points at the half to lead Tech which shot 52.2 percent from the field.Tech started the second half on an 8-2 run and led 36-32 on an Antonio Snow coast-to-coast drive and layup at the 16:06 mark.Three minutes later Tech's lead was seven thanks to another Snow drive and Greger trifecta. Then Northern responded with some contested threes to go on a 11-3 run to go up 47-46 with 9:28 left in the game. Both teams were willing to engage a game of touche as they waged a back-and-forth showcase of offensive prowess as Tech led 57-55 with five-plus minutes left.A Corbin Pearson three from the deep, right corner at 4:02 gave Northern a 60-57 and the Lights pushed the edge to five, but Tech wouldn't relent.Back-to-back conventional three-point plays by Marcus Payne and Snow gave the Orediggers a 63-62 lead with 2:12 left. Then Payne delivered a strong layup at :45 off of a sweet dime from Bryan Bock to put the hosts up 65-63.Tied 迷你倉t 65, Tech junior Brandon Rydberg hit two free throws before Northern knotted things back up six seconds later on the other end with two free throws after a questionable block call, sending the game into overtime. In the first extra session, Tech led by as many as four points, but a Northern trey and two made charity tosses set the tone for Payne to launch a desperation three at the horn that just bounced out and it was time to work a double. In the second extra session, Tech again led early 78-74, but saw a Northern rally after Bock hit a transition bank shot with nine seconds left to put the Orediggers up 82-81.Then West sealed the win before a missed McCarthy shot from deep at the buzzer.Snow finished with 28 points, Greger added 22 points, and Payne compiled nine points and 11 rebounds for Tech.Pearson led the victory with 26 points and six rebounds.O'Herron has to now turnaround and get his team ready for L-C State, who beat Tech in Idaho by 45 points last month."Mentally, this is our second game we had a chance to win, and we have to come back," O'Herron said.
