Analysts at HSBC reckon Tesco will deliver flat underlying sales for the second quarter, an improvement on the 1pc fall in the first.Trading profit in the UK is expected to rise 1pc to pounds sterling 1.12bn for the first half but the performance is likely to expose a yawning gap with Tesco's arch rival.Sainsbury's (down 3.3p to 394.7p) is only updating on second quarter trading but is expected to show its 35th consecutive period of sales growth.This has been buoyed by a Live Well for Less campaign which has struck a chord with shoppers seeking healthy food at low prices.___BANKS are taking on an army of risk experts as the Square Mile beefs up its IT operations to avoid another 'London Whale', according to Harvey Nash.The recruitment group (down 7.38p to 88p) said it had seen a 10pc rise in City hiring in the past six months.'IT groups in banks are very focused on this at the moment,' said chief executive Albert Ellis, referring to the incident that saw JP Morgan fined pounds sself storageerling 572m after one of its traders hid losses.Harvey Nash added that half-year pre-tax profits fell 48pc to pounds sterling 1.8m.___AMERICAN rapper Dr Dre may have written the lyric 'I told the world one day I would pay it back' but yesterday the cash was flowing the other way as he sold a pounds sterling 310m stake in his electronics business.The musician turned entrepreneur, who was born Andre Romelle Young, has sold a minority stake in his Beats Electronics headphone firm which has become the must have brand for the youth market. The deal values his business at pounds sterling 620m.___DIXONS has moved a step closer to ditching its troubled online electronics website PIXmania.Talks with notoriously difficult French trades unions went better than expected and the retailer has completed consultations faster than planned.This has now cleared the way for PIXmania to pass to Germany's Mutares which specialises in turning around problem firms.Dixons, whose strength is in traditional shops, has spent around pounds sterling 250m since buying it in 2006 but the loss making business has struggled to compete with the likes of Amazon.
